The residence
Set behind a gated motor court on one of Trousdale's most private promontories, The Obsidian House is a study in restraint: a dark basalt volume that dissolves into walls of glass as evening falls over the city.
Inside, 1,450 square metres unfold across three levels arranged around a central light well. The principal suite occupies its own wing with a private terrace, twin dressing rooms and a spa bath carved from a single block of Italian travertine.
Below, an entertainment level holds a twelve-seat cinema, a temperature-controlled cellar for 1,800 bottles and a gallery-grade garage for eight cars.
